1st ACCESS Industrial Workshop 2008
The Future of Communication Systems: Will Everything Connect?
Welcome to the 1st ACCESS Industrial Workshop on the future of communication systems. In recent years, the desire for connectivity and physical mobility has caused an exponential growth in communication networks and systems. Wireless technology is connecting not only personal communication devices, but transportation systems and industrial processes. The Workshop offers a unique opportunity to discuss research challenges and industry trends in complex communication, networks and systems.
ACCESS is a Linnaeus Centre recently established at KTH through a ten-year grant from the Swedish Research Council. The Center comprises a substantial part of the fundamental research on complex communication networks and systems in Sweden. The ACCESS Partnership Program will be presented together with new research projects at the Centre.
Keynote speakers and panelists include several internationally recognized research leaders and innovators, such as Jan Färjh, Head of Ericsson Research, Jan- Erik Frey, Program Manager for Industrial Communication at ABB, and Steven Low, California Institute of Technology and FastSoft Inc.
The Call for Participation can be found here.
